Southern Grandma

Lawyers should never ask a Southern grandma a question if they aren’t
prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called
his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He
approached her and asked, “Mrs. Jones, do you know me?”

She responded, “Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I’ve
known you since you were a young boy, and frankly, you’ve been a big
disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you
manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think
you’re a big shot when you haven’t the brains to realize you never
will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.”

The lawyer was stunned! Not knowing what else to do, he pointed
across the room and asked, “Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense
attorney?”

She again replied, “Why, yes, I do. I’ve known Mr. Bradley
since he was a youngster, too. He’s lazy, bigoted, and he has a
drinking problem. He can’t build a normal relationship with anyone and his law
practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he
cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your
wife. Yes, I know him.”

The defense attorney almost died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a
very quiet voice, said, “If either of you idiots asks her if she knows
me, I’ll send you to the electric chair.”

The Hols are finally here again..I can’t believe it! Just recently it was ’05′ & now we are headed ’07′. Uh! How time flies.. Jeez! We are getting old..but luckly wiser! Anyway who cares? The party has just become…Office parties, End of year parties..Et Cetera..
Am hoping I won’t be indulging this time round..Coz Jan will still arrive & My bills will still be there..u know what I mean.

By da way, What do u people think about that annual prize worthy $5 Million, being offered by that SELF-MADE Sudanese Millionaire to African Politicians if they avoid being seduced by the power & corruption. I think it’s a good Iniative but I aint sure it’s gonna change anything especially in countries where the leaders know their chances to win that cash are minimal if not nil!

Yesterday for some good luck, I happened to leave office earlier than usual and having no place specifically to go I found myself at home watching the Tyra Banks talk show. Remember am never a fun of this talk show’s but Tyra had an interesting topic going on & besides her was a lady who had just lost her job because of blogging at work.
I thought how lucky was I my boss didn’t mind that! But I realized as she continued that I was at risk too! Apparently their Boss is able to track all transactions carried out on the Computer long after the user ‘s logged out(Whatever that techno is called), It’s so happened this lady had blogged about her job place & her boss got to know all about it….And hence the sack! An innocent fun activity cost her a lot!
